Well, I suppose the blog itself (as part of Books Bourbon & Bacon) is older, but this marks one month of blogging specifically for the project. I plan on keeping everyone abreast of my ongoing preparations until I step out on April 1, 2020 from Amicalola Falls State Park to begin the thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. Then, this site will change a bit to include blog and audio updates from the trail, produced podcasts, daily vlogs and produced videos. So a lot of cool shit is on the way. I can’t wait to share everything with you as it evolves!

Well, I certainly wasn’t expecting a global pandemic to shut down the world right before I was to set off on my Trek Dirty to Me project and my years-long planned 2,200 mile trek of the Appalachian Trail. But it did, and I could not have been luckier. What a ride these last three months have been!
